Vertical lines Down Screen

spent the cash and thought i had one of the best tv's out there, nope. lines showed up within the first year. they didnt persist so i couldnt get the service person that samsung sent out to fix it. now the lines are back and here to stay. of course now that i am out of warranty it is my issue, not samsungs!!! needless to say i am not happy, i expected more.

Extremely beautiful tv, both in picture quality and appearance, it has a really sleek, slim look, with silver edges all around the tv with a nice silver stand, it doesn’t have those extremely large, ugly, and cheap legs at the bottom like most 4KTVS out there, the one connect box is a nice add to the tv. Setup is simple and easy, especially since you can link the tv to your phone and use the SmartThings app, the user interface is smooth with nice apps and a nice look, the control is small and cute, not a lot of unnecessary buttons. The picture quality is really clear, it’s also extremely bright, colorful, and vivid! ( which everyone isn't a fan of ) but everything pops out greatly especially if you’re watching something in 4KHDR, 4K gaming is amazing with all the new gaming features and really low input lag. This is a 4KTV, SD content and regular 1080P content looks nice! ( depending on the source that you’re viewing it on though ) but overall make sure that you stream and watch 4K content with HDR if you really want to see how nice this tv looks, and play your PS4 PRO or XBOX ONE S. Having really good internet connection is needed if you want to stream content using the apps on the tv. The only downsides to this tv is the poor viewing angels, the tv looks washed out when viewed at an Angle / from the side and the local dimming feature is a little bad, so you won’t get those nice deep dark blacks when viewing dark scenes in a dark room, it’s Really noticeable at times which is annoying! but it isn't bad to the point where you can’t even enjoy what you’re watching / what video game you’re playing because the tv does have really nice black uniformity, with RTINGS giving it a 8.9 out of 10.

Purchased this TV in January from PC Richard's, one day in May it literally just won't turn on. There is power to the TV, but no picture. I call Samsung, they send out their service team which the only available window is a 6 hour window. They will also not touch the TV so I am responsible for taking down a 65" TV and putting it back up every time they come. Visit 1: 12-6 window. they tell me I need a new panel, they will order it and come back to install. Visit 2: 12-6 window. They end up replacing the motherboard and entire front screen of my TV. They leave, I turn on TV when I get home and find out that they never programmed the new mother board so every time I turn off my TV and turn it on it goes to a source screen, I have to choose the cable source and then watch TV. I then also notice that the sides of my TV are no longer connecting correctly, I can see inside the TV. I Call Samsung support again. Visit 3: 12-6 window. They come to program the motherboard, but say they were not told about the panels not connecting. They now will need to order a back panel for the TV and come back to install. For those of you counting that would now be a new screen, new motherboard, and a new back panel. All on a TV I had purchased 5 months earlier. I call customer service and tell them I no longer want the TV to be serviced and want a new TV, they open a case and tell me someone will contact me. After a few days I hear nothing, I call back and they tell me that in order to open the case I need to have the final service call completed. Visit 4: 12-6 window. They come to install back panel, I get home from work and take a look at the TV and there is still a gap on the side of my TV. I call back customer service and eventually I am issued an RA to PC Richard's for a new TV. Go to pick up my TV this past weekend and what a surprise they no longer make this TV so I had to get the q70 which is its direct replacement. Oh and Samsung has also decided to do away with One Connect which means I now have to have an electrician come back to my house, put in a new outlet behind the TV and run all new wiring. I was also told that my no gap wall mount would still work with this TV, they come to install the TV and would you look at that the wall mount doesn't work with this TV. I call customer service and see if they will send me a wall mount considering all the hassle I have been through dealing with this over a month and a half. But I was very quickly told there was nothing they could do as they make new wall mounts for every TV they make. I thought that maybe rather than have a customer even more upset they would just try to make me happy and help me out, but that wasn't the case. I told them that this was the worst experience I have ever had with a company and I would be sure to post it everywhere I could. I am not one to leave reviews but after spending almost $5000 on 3 Samsung TV's in January I was extremely Disappointed with their customer service and how they handled the situation.

Samsung, so far i have to say I am very disappointed with your QLED tvs. You did not have the 2017 model listed any longer, so I made a note in the title of this review. At first, I thought picture was AMAZING.... 2 years later and lots of calibration, can not get the pixelated cloud effect from dark scenes removed. SECOND MAJOR PROBLEM, after only 2 years my back light is starting to go out. Noticed it 2x last week. The wife and I are watching a movie/TV show...entire screen dims by about half the brightness (no eco mode is NOT on)...then 20 minutes later the screen brightens up again. I am sure it will only get worse from here. Come to find out, Samsung only has a 1 year warranty. I guess the QLEDs are good for only 2 years. Tell me why I want to buy another QLED samsung?...I obviously will need a new tv soon once this Q7 completely fails. As someone who works for one of the worlds largest Tech companies, this is unacceptable.
