Purple Blotches

I have not even owned this TV for 2 years, and it developed purple blotches on the screen. It only continues to get worse. Samsung claims to have no knowledge of such issue, but it is an issue with many TV's of this model. Just do an internet search. Very disappointed in Samsung.

I bought this to use in my finished basement while on treadmill, etc. Thru my WiFi. It is light weight, easy to set up, great picture and sound. The “smart” features made this a perfect choice for this situation! I am retired and over 60....so, if I can.....

I recently bought a 50" Samsung 'smart' ultra-high definition TV ( model UN50MU6300FXZA). I found the lack of immediate, reasonably complete instructions very frustrating. Only when I downloaded the complete instruction manual from the Samsung website was I able to understand and adjust needed functions. For instance, the overall brightness of the picture was initially poor. Only when I learned how to use the menu to get to the picture type (e.g., 'standard', 'movie') was I able to get close to what I had experienced on past Samsung TV's. My initial attempts with the voice command of 'brightness' failed to allow much adjustment. As TV's get more and more complicated it will be harder and harder for an ordinary, non-technical user to figure things out without the detailed manual. (I finally resorted to printing out the entire 138 page detailed instruction manual to have as a handy nearby reference for future problems like the one I initially encountered.)

love the tv. wish it had OUTPUT. may be a unicorn wish, but trying to 'slave' a smaller tv to this one (think bedroom to bathroom as your get ready in the morning). nothing obvious on the tv, nothing in the manual (short/paper or online) and i've waited over 30 minutes for a 'real human' on their chat once the automated system said I was connected to Kxxxxan. phone a friend? PS - the data grab below the review is idiotic. give us a break...
