We had never spent so much on a refrigerator before but this brand got such outstanding reviews that we decided to splurge in 2019. Then in August 2022 the compressor went out and we lost a fridge and freezer full of food. The compressor was replaced because thankfully we had a valid service agreement. Now in July 2023 the freon ran out and again we lost almost everything in the fridge and freezer. If the freon ran out or was leaking where did it go? Ive never heard of this occurring in a refrigerator. Of course none of the food was reimbursable because its not our habit to keep food receipts although we will now from this point forward. Anyway we really regret the decision to purchase this appliance and I certainly would not recommend LG products to anyone like I use to. If LG wants to save their reputation I think renewing our service agreement at no cost to us would be a step in the right direction. At this point I feel its only a matter of time before something else occurs with this refrigerator which is unfortunate and quite aggravating in an expensive appliance that isnt even 5 years old. What happens the next time theres a breakdown? Why should we have to pay out of pocket to repair an obviously shoddy product?

I bought this lg fridge in 2019. It has more than enough room for everything in both the fridge and the freezer. Recently it stopped cooling and I panicked but LG has wonderful customer service and support. They sent someone out immediately to fix the compressor and did not charge me for parts or labor since that is their policy for 10 years after purchase. All in all Im thankful that this fridge has held up and when it did have an issue it was quickly taken care of by their professional team.

Its been great until the compressor stopped working last week. Its five years old and I didnt expect that expensive repair bill.

I got this refrigerator about 4 years ago. I have had trouble with compressor and it had to be replaced. I got the black stainless and am disappointed that it doesnt have anything available if it gets scratched to repair. The part would need replaced which is too expensive
