Multi-Zone Audio and Video

Pre/Line Out for Zone 2 and Powered Zone opens up distributed audio options and is backed by a dedicated Zone 2 DAC. Select HDMI terminals support 4K/60 Hz video, HDCP 2.2 copy protection, and High Dynamic Range (HDR), with BT.2020 support, for next-generation UltraHD streaming and broadcasting. A 4k and HDCP 2.2/HDR-compatible Main and Sub HDMI outputs allows you to send AV sources connected to the receiver to two screens.

Upgraded components, such as the massive transformer and custom capacitors, provide high instantaneous current for lightning-fast transient response and a frequency range that extends down to 5 Hz. Noiseless Audio Processing

Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry is a mouthful, so we call it VLSC(TM). This circuitry virtually removes digital pulse noise for a smooth analog signal. TX-RZ610 features VLSC across all channels. Data is converted between sampling points and these points are joined with analog vectors in real time to produce a smooth output wave form. The result is a virtually noiseless, smooth, analog signal based on the digital source. It brings out even the most subtle of nuances in audio sources.

Make object-based Dolby Atmos(R) and DTS:X(TM) ☆ surround sound reality in your living room. Sound flows naturally above and around in three dimensions, with discrete effects such as birdcalls, rain, or the sound of a helicopter originating from overhead. In fact, every element in an "object-based" soundtrack is mixed separately, so it's free to travel from speaker to speaker with lifelike realism.

Supports HDR10, Dolby Vision (TM) , BT.2020, 4K/60 Hz, and HDCP 2.2

Seven rear HDMI(R) inputs (HDMI 1-7), Main Out, and Sub Out support pass-through of HDR10, and Dolby Vision; the BT.2020 4K color standard; 4K/60 Hz video playback; and HDCP 2.2 for premium video content. Front HDMI terminal is ideal for temporary device connections. Dolby Vision is supported through inputs 1-3 and is available via firmware update.

Bluetooth / Wi-Fi (R) with Pandora, Spotify, and AirPlay

The TX-RZ610 has AirPlay, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies built in. Stream virtually any audio from a smartphone, tablet or PC to your home theater for powerful sound. With Spotify, Pandora, and TuneIn built-in, as well as Deezer and Tidal (via firmware update available now), you can search for music available on these services via the Onkyo Controller app on your phone. The free Onkyo Controller app puts a range of streaming options at your fingertips, from universal hi-res audio via network-attached devices to internet streaming services to music on your smartphone and tablet.
