Failed twice, don't buy direct.

it's a pretty tv. you can display on any tv screen saver. But Samsung isn’t prepared to service or support. The picture quality was fantastic -- in both tv and art mode. i don't see anything special about the display in art mode that can't be replicated on a similar qled 4k display. within a few weeks we discovered the first of two display defects and samsung replaced the whole display. a year later, just under the warranty expiration, the entire display failed. samsung insisted on issuing a refund. dozens of phone calls later, they scheduled a courier who had a panel truck loaded with failed samsung tvs. getting the refund took another dozen calls.

Art Mode Very Buggy

the art mode is very buggy, sometimes the motion sensor works, other times it doesnt. same for the night mode, sometimes it will shut off the art mode in the middle of the day, for no reason, on another day it will work fine & only shut the art mode off after the room is dark. i called samsung tech line, i was told to reset the tv, that fixed nothing. for the money i paid for this tv to have the art mode, there is no way i could be happy with this purchase.

Low quality display. Art store feature doesnt work

the quality of the display is really low. it looks awful. colors are washed out and display isnt very bright. the frame tv also doesnt look very good and the art store feature has been broken for months so you cant even purchasr art to disay.

No mounting hardware and advertisements

first , the tv only came with mounting hardware for concrete walls. if you have a single stud plus drywall you have to by another kit. also the mounting hardware they do provide is very low quality once i finally got the tv online, they required you to install the smarthings app which only works if you allow it to track your location at all times. if you do not allow access to your location the application will not run. the tv also comes preloaded with applications you can not remove and they show advertisements which you can not turn off. setting aside the lack of installation hardware, large number of apps you can't remove, advertisements you are forced to view, and concerns around privacy, the tv is ok. it does look good on the wall and the no gap wall mount is nice.
