GE Profile™ Series ENERGY STAR® 22.1 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth French-Door Refrigerator with Hands-Free AutoFill

Great item to complete the appliances in our kitchen

The refrigerator is beautiful! My only regret is that this is the first counter depth fridge I've ever had. I have a built in island, and the depth of the regular refrigerator would make it difficult to get into the freezer door, so I chose the counter depth. Buyers need to be aware that a LOT of storage is lost making this choice. In addition to the shelves not being as deep, for some reason GE made the bins on the inside of the door much deeper than a gallon milk jug, so that further minimizes the depth of the main refrigerator shelves. The vegetable bins in the counter depth refrigerator are woefully shallow due to those unnecessarily deep door bins. I got a package of romaine and a bag of spinach in one drawer. The other contains a few onions, a few potatoes, and it's full. Luckily I had a small garage refrigerator that used to be for backup. It is now employed full time to make up for the space lost in this counter depth model GE. The doors are stiff to both open and close. If you think you can give the door a push with your hip while your hands are full and have it close, you cannot. You must put your things down and go back to firmly close the fridge doors. The freezer closes easier than the refrigerator doors, and can be done with a knee if necessary. The color is beautiful (Slate), and looks great in my kitchen. I probably should have looked at other brands of counter depth refrigerators, and if I ever need to replace this one, I certainly will. The interior configuration is vitally important, so be sure you look closely before buying. Don't trust the optics from online photos alone. Unfortunately, in my case this actual refrigerator (the counter depth model) was not available in the store for me too see before purchasing. Lesson learned. I would recommend the full size, but I urge caution if you need a counter depth model.

I've wanted a new frig for a long time. I purchased all new appliances and wanted a 4 door, this one only came in 3 door, but the color was what I liked. I also like that it's made right here in the states. Room for everything I need, I also like that if I don't close it, a bell tells me the door is open

Brand new $4,000 purchase and has not worked from day 1. Lost all our frozen food because the freezer is not working. Also won’t produce any ice. Customer service is horrible and no help. Been a week now waiting for a technician to come and figure this out. Thoroughly fed up with GE. Don’t buy this product. Should have known better, we had the same product previously and that died after 5 years. GE very poor in all aspects.
