I LOVE this Ice Maker!!

While this model has been discontinued, it is amazing. Great ice production, good size and shape to the ice, and really really easy to hook up. The best part is it has it's own drain pump! The door opens outward and down making it easy to full up coolers and larger pitchers. Very well designed and highly recommend.

This is now my third ice maker in 20+ years. They seem to last about 7-8 years before they die, but I wouldn't be without one. Once you have had machine made ice, you will never want to use the garbage that your refrigerator makes ever again. These machines are low maintenance, so I highly recommend the Kitchen Aid ice maker. There are other brands out there but They do not compare in ease of use and cleaning.

This ice maker does not have an articulating hinge so it cannot sit in your kitchen cabinetry - it needs to sit out an inch so the poorly designed door can open. All of the other kitchenaid products have an articulating hinge so it’s unclear why they ruined this product with such a bad design flaw.
