After 2 years. Whole control board went out. Cost nearly $400 to repair!

This washer and dryer was in the new construction house we bought. It washes very well. It sometimes makes a lot of noise during a spin cycle. But, my biggest complaint by far is that it is very difficult to keep clean despite regular affresh cycles. The dispenser and gasket are almost impossible to keep clean and I keep the drawer out and door open whenever not in use. I wipe down the drawer and the inside of the dispenser and between gaskets after I'm done using and still doesn't stay clean. The inside of the dispenser and the drawer are especially difficult to keep clean because of little nooks and crannies that are very hard to get into - very frustrating!

Thankfully, I am finally able to dump this albatross. From the start, it has regularly eaten clothes, comforters, blankets. You name it, this machine will cheerfully chew a hole in it. And it now again leaks water like a sieve. Again. Last repair cost almost $400. This time, I went and bought something else. Something else not made by Whirlpool as I will never invest money in a lousy experience like this again.

very nice washer- love that it doesn't have to fill completely with water like the old school washers. Quiet. Occasional cleaning required around the rubber seal in the door. But what washer doesn't require cleaning at some point.
