This is my second set of Maytags in 13 years. I have been pleased with the capacity of this machine to handle laundry for 9 in our family. However, a few issues that need to be resolved. First, I do keep my washer door open anytime the washer is not in use to keep the seal from getting mildew and odor. I needed a stackable W/D for this house and this unit has worked as well as a front loader can. The big box store we purchased these at installed them for me and stacked them with a stacking kit but the machines squeak while in spin cycles and I have to adjust the dryer on top to stop the noise. Also, I do wish the mildew issue could be solved in these front loaders. The fan in the back definitely helps save laundry loads from needing to be rewashed if I don't get to them to switch to the dryer within 20-30 min. That is a step in the right direction. However, the dispenser drawer is constantly needing to be washed and wiped down due to mildew in and around the drawer. The main issue I am having that I'm hoping someone from Maytag will respond to is that the washer door has begun to leak out the front from the bottom while the washer is in a cycle. I have to keep towels down to keep water from trickling out and eventually flooding my second floor laundry room! First, the rubber seal on the inside began to swell in one place (towards the bottom) and then it eventually just broke off. And it seems the leaking began then. I am careful not to overload loads of laundry and, as mentioned before, allow the seal/drum of the washer to dry in between loads. My washer and dryer are only 2 years old. It's too early to be having issues with these high end machines I saved up for. I'd like Maytag to offer a solution to this problem.

We bought this machine about a month ago to replace a 5 year old whirlpool. It works so much better than the old one. No complaints. Live not having to put soap in every load. That is a wonderful feature.

Never again!!!

Purchased the previous model Maxima and have had nothing but problems. For the second time got the error codes F06 E02. The first time it was covered under warranty. The second time was outside of warranty. I called Maytag and asked for understanding and help to fix the washer. Each time the response was "sorry but your machine is out of warranty." The sad thing is I purchased a Maytag Centennial top load for 475.00 to keep in the garage as a spare when the Maxima breaks. The first repair took almost 5 weeks to fix. Never, Never, Never buying a Maytag again. I am going to buy a top load Speed Queen like I should have done in the first place.

New front load washer for us, great job cleaning, cold water can run up to 1:20 minutes. Seems extreme and slow. Let be the fresh cycle.
