Be cautious - 13-cup has strong motor

Have the 13cup KitchenAid Food Processor and was using the big multi-purpose blade to mix ingredients for sausage balls (1lb sausage, cheese, etc) to take on vacation. Everything was running smoothly until it stopped churning. Investigating, the blade would not detach. After struggling, I finally got it detached, could not see anything obvious that was wrong. Re-attached and continued but still did not work properly. Again it would not detach but when it did now see the issue. The motor apparently reamed out the blade shaft and no longer seats. Therefore the blade it shot which is crippling. :( We have many other KitchenAid products and enjoy them.

I received this as a gift and I was really excited about the features. After a few uses, the multipurpose blade broke. I am bummed that you he blade didn't not last but a few uses. :( the other issue is the top lid collected dirty dish water and drowns inside where you can't get to clean. It is clear plastic so it is ugly. If I had known this mught be an issue, I would've washed differently to try to avoid this. That is less of a concern than the blade already not working.

We have had this for about year. The food processor(KPF1333asc) was given to us as a gift along with the blade accessories. We just began using the multipurpose blade and it broke after two uses. I was shocked at how bad the quality was. I have always had great experi nceneith kitchinaid products before.

The kitchenaid good processor is a very good appliance that helps make meal preparations a lot easier but it pains me a lot that the multipurpose blade which is most often needed is rusted and the adaptor for same cracked while the appliance is still fairly new. It sits idle most often because it's not too helpful to me without the blade. I am not sure if I would recommend this to someone. Painful
